Synopsis
Sasha, a French woman of thirty, dies suddenly in Berlin. We follow her Fiancé, Lawrence, and her sister Zoé, as the consequences of this shock set in. 3 years, 3 summers, 3 countries. From Berlin to Paris and New York, we witness their return toward resolution and happiness.
Statement
With this film I would like to share a feeling, the expression of a certain relationship with the world. Staying very close to what’s real in all its banality and its puzzling strangeness. Using raw material that is both concrete and trivial in order to address in a simple and direct way these major themes that have a certain gravity to them: such as the loss of a dear one, the beginning of a love story, the fear of life or the feeling of existential scarcity I would like to open this film on this abyss in life which is so difficult to grasp, which is both frightening and full of promises, but in a tone that is shining, which is that of tenderness. A tenderness that is even more precious when it exists notwithstanding the melancholy behind the project. I want the film to be firmly luminous.
