Born in Río de Oro (Colombia), in 1981, studied Film and Television at the National University of Colombia. At the age of 20, he directed "La Sombra del Caminante" (The Wandering Shadows), his feature directorial debut, on a $ 3000 dollar budget. It went on to be selected for more than 50 international film festivals (including Tribeca, Cairo, Seoul, Pesaro, Troia, Seattle, Hamburg, Kolkata, Rio de Janeiro and Guadalajara), garnering awards at San Sebastian, Toulouse, Mar del Plata, Trieste, Havana, Quito, Cartagena, Austin, Santiago and Warsaw. It was also chosen as Colombia's official entry for the 2006 Academy Awards. He is currently developing "The Wind Journeys", his second feature film. |
